Krista Shiner
Inspiration of the vast etherial elements of the natural world. Worlds within worlds of flowers, plants, trees, crystals, fossils, and microorganisms fill each painting bridging realism with abstract expressionism. Each expressive line, space, color, form, texture has been intuitively placed in relation to the whole. Mixed materials become catalysts of energy transforming canvas or wood into the third dimension. At their core they are expressionistic embodiments of the energy that fuels all of creation. A reminder that we are nature and the cross cultural medicinal qualities the natural environments provide us in every way. Bringing the outdoors in.
